| The NB 993 is the latest in a long series of classic shoes. I own several pairs of 992s, and I was happy to repeat/upgrade with the 993s. This shoe is extremely durable and has a luxurious feel. It doesn't use any gimmicks like air pockets or shocks. Instead, it simply uses high quality materials providing the best cushioning available in a sneaker. The look is classic, the materials are top-notch, the feel is unreal. If you want the best, buy this shoe. |

I recently started running again. However, after every run, my hips and knees would ache (and I'm not that old!). I decided to retire my cheap Nikes and invest in a decent pair of shoes.
As soon as I started using these the post-run aches disappeared! They're comfortable, supportive, and made in America to boot. I'd say these are as close to perfect as a shoe can get. |

| This is my first pair of New Balance. I was a Nike user. They are very comfortable to wear and on the treadmill. They fit perfectly, I was a little worried about that. I measured my foot on a blank piece of paper and marked the spots, and the measured them. It worked! The model MR993 that I chose had no gimmicks like most runners out there. It just was made really well with good materials. Also, I'm Canadian and I like the fact that they are made by my good friends in the USA. I've had them for a month now and they are well broken in. They feel fantastic on my feet. Glad I tried something new to me. DV. |
